From funny, to mildly disturbing to horribly morbid. Scary, as they reflect the reality we live in today. I came across this series of 'fake adverts', rather a satire, featuring the fictitious town of Scarfolk in North England.

A project by artist Richard Littler, the series exposes, in the form of seemingly simplistic posters- the undercurrents of this deeply dysfunctional and dystopian society.

What I really love about these is also how the art is made to look like they are from a different era. As Richard says 'undoing half a century of advances in print and technology. Imitating the palettes, lighting, print errors and textures'.

Here are some of my picks , and you see the entire collection on the Scarfolk Council website.

One ticked off the bucket list!

When it comes to art, 'Transport for London' boasts of some of the best poster designs, consistent through the years. It was such a honour to have two of my posters selected amongst thousands of entries from over 20 countries, to be displayed as part of the 'London Stories' exhibit at the London Transport Museum.

The first titled 'Migrants of London' is special to me, because it's in a way my story. Coming to the city in 2014, with no friends, family or work, London welcomed me with open arms. With people from all over the world, finding joy in the fact that we are not alike, but also.. not unlike!

The opening was a full house on a rainy Friday evening, and the response was brilliant. Here are some photos of the event. I have put together a few of my favourite pieces, that are so quintessentially 'London' to me.

The exhibition is on till July, so if you happen to be in Covent Garden, do pop in for this at the London Transport Museum. If you haven't been here, it's a beautiful museum and houses many old models of trains and routemasters. The museum shop is a treat for those who love the London Underground, lots of classic posters and memorabilia.

Some of my favourite posters, starting with this one of Canary Wharf. Strangely this angle of London looks more like Gotham City !

A walk through Camden never disappoints. Never go on weekend, unless you fancy being trampled by tourists and touristing Londoners. I chose a bright Monday morning when the weather was good and an empty road meant that I could enjoy a leisurely stroll.

Those who have been here before might be familiar with the Alice in Wonderland kind of shop fronts with giant boots and dragons which I absolutely love, but Camden Market also has some really interesting street art and graffiti if you walk through the quieter back alleys.

Here are some neat pieces of art I captured this time round.
